*** 21.08.2009 *** New Email from Sue today!! ***

Dear VMS Community,

First please forgive me if this is a duplicate email , it seems that sending to a large distribution list is not acceptable and I must break my distribution list up into many parts.  So I have combined the last two emails I have sent (today) into one.

What is great is that I get to apologize for the size of the email already ;’).  Has everyone seen that the DEC 50th Anniversary is in September visit www.decedout.org/events for more information.

With warm regards as always

Dear VMS Community,

I wanted to share this invitation and wonderful news with you. OpenVMS has two honorable mentions in humanitarian space.  Not only is OpenVMS  an outstanding Operating system but it makes the world a better place.  Brandon has asked that you mention my name in case there is an overwhelming response.

Warm Regards,

Sue

Message 2

Dear VMS Community,

I miss you all very much and I hope you are well, if you have a minute could you just send me an email letting me know how you are doing

If you are a VMS Partner with a product,  I have an idea for you.   I am doing a small project, if you would like to be involved in a short interview please let me know, this will take about ½ an hour of your time.  This is not sales pitch but informing the community about your cool products, that help the VMS customers and VMS overall.  At this time I am not doing consulting services for this interview series.

As you know I was very sorry to leave HP and the VMS group, but I found another wonderful job with a VMS partner called eCube Systems.  They are based in Texas, with offices in Montreal and Boston, their web site is www.ecubesystems.com Make sure you check out the HPTF 2009 video which is on the eCube Systems home page.

I find that they are very similar to DEC and really have a “Customer First” attitude as do most of the OpenVMS Community.  I find that I get to talk to more of our partners and this attitude becomes more obvious everyday to me.

I have a trip planned with the President of the company in September to Europe, I would love to see as many folks as possible, please let me know if you are available.  Also if I promised to bring you anything to this year’s TUD please send me a reminder note, with all that has happened I may have forgotten.

Amanda starts her last year of school in September and she asks me to send her regards as well.

Now that I am no longer with HP I find that the communications from Connect and OpenVMS.org are very important, we really need to say thank you to the folks that make that happen.

Warm Regards as always,

Sue Skonetski
